Directs and supervises program activities to meet the needs of the community and fulfill YMCA objectives.
Recruits, hires, trains, develops, schedules, and directs staff and volunteers as needed.
Foster innovation in program development, ensuring that offerings are engaging, impactful, and responsive to evolving trends in youth and family services.
Establishes new program activities and expands program within the community in accordance with strategic and operating plans. This includes the development of Adventure Guides, Youth & Government, Model United Nations, and off-site Youth Enrichment.
Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and support professional growth and development within the team. Reviews and evaluates staff performance and develops strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals.
Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, schools, local agencies, and other stakeholders to expand the reach and impact of YMCA youth and family programs.
Represent the YMCA in relevant community forums, advocating for the needs of youth and families.
Assists in the marketing and distribution of program information, organizes and schedules program registrations.
Develops and monitors program budget to meet fiscal objectives, ensuring responsible allocation of resources and fiscal accountability.
Coordinates use of facilities for program activities and events.
Assists in YMCA fundraising activities and special events.
Models relationship-building skills in all interactions. Responds to all member and community inquiries and complaints in a timely manner.
Compiles program statistics. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of and participation in programs.
Develop and implement effective evaluation methodologies to assess program outcomes and impact.
Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions for program improvement and growth.
Collaborate with other YMCA departments to create integrated programming that aligns with the YMCA's holistic approach to youth and family development.
Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion within the Youth and Family Services department and throughout the organization, promoting an environment that is welcoming and inclusive for all.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience in youth and family services, with a proven track record of program development and management.
Strong understanding of youth development principles, family dynamics, and community needs.
Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.
Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Proficiency in budget management and financial oversight.
Experience working with non-profit organizations and community partnerships is a plus.
