The City of Seward is recruiting for a Seasonal Recreation AideThis position facilitates recreation activities, provides front line customer service at various parks and recreation facilities, and performs administrative tasks in support of Department activities. Must be able to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
DETAILED WORK DUTIES: Facilitates recreational activities, including adult and youth programs, competitive and non-competitive team sports, leagues, tournaments, races, fitness activities, leisure classes, skills clinics, outdoor trips, and special events.Fosters a welcoming and engaging environment for participants, modifies activities as needed based on participants’ actions and feedback.Monitors and ensures the safety of participants and program staff.Cleans and maintains recreation equipment and facilities for public use.Performs administrative tasks such as filling out paperwork and answering telephones.Provides friendly customer service and works collaboratively with others to accomplish tasks.Follows safe work practices.Performs related duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed both indoors and outside, hand-eye coordination is necessary to operate computers and various pieces of office equipment.
