Responsibilities
This position is responsible for the completion of all tasks in relations to operations and compliance. Compliance includes completing NJCAA eligibility, monitoring coaches’ expenses, and organizing and completing Letters of Intent and EADA Survey.
Essential Functions
- Composes, prepares and maintains written documentation, correspondence, contracts, rosters, scholarships, schedules, and files for the department.
- Ensure compliance with all NJCAA and KJCCC rules, generally administer the processing of all athletic eligibility forms and reports as well as compliance of the Letter of Intent process.
- Prepare all Letters of Intent for eligible student-athletes and activity scholarships — overseeing that each sport stays within its allotted scholarship limit.
- Prepares all appropriate paperwork for eligibility certification and work directly with student-athletes to gather the necessary corresponding paperwork.
- Promote and place and athletics department-wide priority on the academic success, persistence, graduation, and transfer eligibility of all student-athlete.
- Coordinate with the coaches in completing all transfer documents for current and past players, including Transfer Waivers, Release forms, NCAA affidavits, etc.
- Compiles, completes, and submit Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act Survey (EADA Survey) according to federal guidelines.
Qualifications
(1) A two year college degree or (2) Completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or (3) Completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program.
Six months to two years of similar or related experience.
