Responsibilities
Position is an integral part of the Automotive Mechanics Technology team. Responsibilities include teaching, conducting laboratory courses, recruiting, advising, tutoring, and evaluating students. Courses taught will include brakes, suspension, engines, and general services. Program is NATEF (National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation) certified. Employment based on 180 days during the academic year per current agreement.
Required Qualifications
Certificate in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 2 years of professional experience working as a mechanical technician or related field
Proficiency in Automative engine diagnostic, repair techniques and maintenance procedures
Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and foster an inclusive learning environment
Prior teaching or training is preferred
Relevant industry certifications such as ASE (Automative Service Excellence) is preferred
Salary/Benefits
Competitive salary. Participation in college Flexible Benefits program which includes options for single and family health and dental coverage, optional insurances, and reimbursement accounts.
