Job Summary:
As a Plan & Zone Admin Assistant - Permit Tech, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the planning and zoning department, specifically focusing on permit processing and coordination.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in business administration or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably in a municipal planning, zoning, or permitting environment.
- Familiarity with permit processing procedures and regulations.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with processing permit applications, ensuring all required documentation is submitted and accurate.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external agencies to obtain necessary approvals for permits.
- Maintain permit records and databases up to date.
- Provide administrative support to the planning and zoning team, including scheduling meetings and preparing documents.
- Respond to inquiries from the public regarding permit procedures and requirements.
