About us: We are a family owned and operated business for 27 years. Sewell's Plumbing Services, Inc was founded in 1998 by Master Plumber, Bryan Sewell. Bryan began his plumbing career in 1987 by enlisting in the United States Army, where he served as a soldier and plumber/pipe fitter for four years. He then met his wife, Alyce, in Alabama and got married in 1992. Moving to Florida in 92', Bryan continued his plumbing career right here in Bradenton, FL. Since then, Bryan decided to get his Master Plumbing license and open Sewell's Plumbing Services with his wife. We have continued to build our business to where it is today, where our customer needs and satisfaction are our top priority. We have recently expanded our company and now offer HVAC services as Sewell's Plumbing & Air!

$500.00 SIGN ON BONUS AFTER 90 DAYS (terms and conditions apply)

Note: This position is an apprenticeship role, providing an opportunity for hands-on learning under the guidance of experienced plumbers.

Our work environment includes:

Responsibilities:
- Assist journeyman/journeywoman plumbers in field service and installation of plumbing systems

- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized manner

- Assist with remodeling projects and service plumbing

- Perform basic mathematical calculations for measuring and cutting pipes

- Thread pipes and assemble fittings according to specifications

- Ability to perform all plumbing repairs and services as per the plumbing code.

- Ability to complete paperwork, collect payments, and communicate.

- Ability to complete various plumbing task, (example) solder, climb ladders, lift, use sewer machines, dig, work in tight spaces, work indoors and outdoors, and in different weather conditions.

-Cut, assemble and install pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure (e.g. electrical wiring)

-Install and maintain water supply systems

-Locate and repair issues with water supply lines (e.g. leaks)

-Repair or replace broken drainage lines, clogged drains, faucets etc.

- Repair domestic fixtures (e.g. sinks) etc

- Install waste disposal and sanitary systems with well-functioning DWV systems

- Must be able to work in a safe and efficient manner.

- Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and pass a drug test.

- The employees work a normal 40 hour work week but must be able to work overtime as needed and be in "on call" rotation.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong interest in the plumbing trade and willingness to learn
- Basic knowledge of math for measurements and calculations
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical documents
- Familiarity with pipe threading techniques is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
