What are the responsibilities and job description for the Campus Grounds Maintenance Specialist position at Sewickley Academy?
Sewickley Academy seeks a highly skilled Campus Grounds Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our grounds department, you will be responsible for maintaining all campus landscape areas, outdoor athletic facilities, parking lots, and walkways.
This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The ideal candidate will have excellent physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Maintaining hoses, sprinklers, tools, supplies, and equipment in proper condition and repairing them as needed.
- Operating and performing minor maintenance on small power-operated pavement sweepers, power mowers, small riding mowers, and other gardening power equipment.
- Preparing and maintaining athletic fields and equipment.
- Driving pick-ups and other automotive equipment such as tractors, mowers, and other specialized lawn and turf equipment.
- Moving furniture, equipment, and supplies.
- Performing daily mail and package delivery on campus.
You must be able to work overtime when needed. A willingness and ability to learn how to operate work-related equipment are essential.
