What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Design Engineer - Automation (m/f/d) position at sewts?
Your mission
At sewts we automate what others can’t. Gripping of deformable materials like textiles is a task most humans see as intuitive and simple. However, this is a complicated task for robots as they lack the detailed and contextual understanding of where and with what level of sensitivity to handle these textiles. As deep-tech enthusiasts, we teach industrial robots human perception skills. With over €10M in funding, we will bring automation to the €1,500bn fashion industry to achieve our long-term vision. Enabling robots to fully automate clothing production.
You will make the difference! We have built a high-performance culture where efficient target achievement and consistent development is at the core of our company philosophy. We are working independently with ownership and a strong motivation to go the extra mile. We are setting our goals high, enjoying our daily challenges, while loving to share a laugh with our fellow team members. We are a diverse team, with many different nationalities, which values direct communication and open feedback.
You will be a part of our dedicated sewts.VELUM Team, whose members are experts, specialised in the design of complex systems, and handling flexible material. You will be closely working with a cross-functional team of mechanical, mechatronics, and service engineers, who develop, test, and deliver our fully standardized sewts.VELUM a sophisticated robotic automation system.
As our Mechanical Design Engineer (m/f/d) you will be responsible for the development of industrial machine cells with articulated robots, performing calculations for mechanical structures, conveyors and motors. With your advanced engineering skills, you will have a guiding impact working on the team and will work with them on rapid prototyping, creating CAD drawings, new designs, and collaborating with partners and suppliers for cost-optimized development.
How You Will Be Creating An Impact With Us
We want to ensure a smooth recruitment process for you. If you have questions or would like to know more about this role, your Talent Partner, Fatima, is there to support you.
