The Position: Assistant General Manager
Manage daily operations of our restaurant and lead team members to success! Assist with inventory & ordering food & supplies, optimize profits & ensure our guests are satisfied with their dining experience. Managing our rad team members’ development & performance at Sexy Pizza. Take orders & serve up the patrons at the counters or tables. Prepare & cook to order the Sexy Pizza menu. Keepin’ the spaces clean & staying up-to-date with health & safety standards for cookin’ & servin’.
What We Require:
We make sure every team member is trained up on our Standard Operating Procedures. We do this by requiring all team members to go through a paid Orientation at our home office & paid Hands-on-Training onsite, no matter what level of experience you have. All we ask is you bring the mad skills you’ve honed & are open to learning the ways of Sexy Pizza.
The JOB Bullet Points:
- Typical work week is at least 47.5 hours. Hours may vary if managers must fill in for their team members or if emergencies arise.
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures. Work with the Area Manager and General Manager to help create new and update current procedures.
- At all times provide a favorable image of Sexy Pizza.
- Work with the General Manager to oversee and manage all restaurant areas and help make final decisions on all matters of importance. Takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action.
- Maintain the highest standard of customer service at all times.
- Respond to all customer reviews and communication and take any and all appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests.
- Interview applicants. Direct hiring, supervision, development, and, when necessary, termination of team members.
- Manage shifts which include: daily decision making, scheduling, and planning while upholding standards, product quality, and cleanliness.
- Maintain weekly meetings with all Leadership staff and quarterly meetings with all staff members.
- Proficiency in all Sexy Pizza software (FocusPOS, Paytronix, Decision Logic, Paycom, 3rd party ordering systems, etc...)
- Opening and closing the restaurant and ensuring all stations are restocked and prepared for an expected level of business each shift as well as cleaned and well kept at the end of each shift.
- Ensure all checklists are completed to company standards.
- Able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Able to be on your feet for extended periods, up to 4 consecutive hours.
Financial & Operational Responsibilities:
- Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including food, beverage, supply, utility, and labor costs.
- Work with the Area Manager and General Manager to read and understand Profit and Loss statements and adhere to budget goals.
- Responsible for reconciliation of cash drawers.
- Responsible for daily deposits of all cash and other forms of payment into the bank.
- Ensure that proper security procedures are in place to protect team members, guests, and company assets.
- Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents. Completes accident reports promptly in the event that a guest or team member is injured.
- Maintain monthly safety meetings with all management/leadership members as well as selected staff members.
- Investigate and resolve complaints concerning food quality and service.
- Manage all restaurant equipment upkeep, maintenance and repairs as necessary.
Food Safety and Planning:
- Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas. Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances.
- Responsible for ensuring consistent high-quality food preparation and service.
- Maintain professional restaurant image, including restaurant cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards.
- Estimate and control food and beverage costs. Work with the General Manager for efficient provisioning and purchasing of supplies. Supervise all team members for portion control and quantities of preparation to minimize waste.
- Estimate food needs through accurate par levels on prep lists and order guides.
- Place orders with distributors, and schedule the delivery of fresh food and supplies.
- Will uphold all Health Department guidelines.

- Maintains a favorable working relationship with all company team members to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate that will be conducive to maximum team member morale, productivity, and efficiency/effectiveness.
- Administers prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for any and all violations of company policies, rules and procedures.
- Completes job responsibilities and performance objectives in a timely and effective manner and in accordance with Sexy Pizza policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Work with the General Manager to review and set wage rates based on performance.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date plan of restaurant staffing needs. Prepare schedules and ensure that the restaurant is staffed for all shifts.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by the Area Manager and General Manager.
Who You Are:
- Valid ServeSafe certification or equivalent.
- Knowledge of computers (MS Word, Excel, Google Workspace & Documents).
- Proficient in the following dimensions of restaurant functions: food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, security, company policies and procedures, personnel management, recordkeeping, and preparation of reports.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and up-to-date Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Must possess a reliable car with up-to-date insurance, and registration.
- Must be 21 years of age or older and be eligible to work in the United States.
