JOB DUTIES:
- Interface with machining supervisors and leads to maintain schedule of upcoming jobs in machining departments.
- Build job kits with all related fixtures, tooling and materials to provide quick changeover from one operation to the next.
- Put away fixtures and tooling for all completed jobs in proper locations.
- Maintain inventory of fixtures and cutting tools.
- Interface with Programmers to be aware of tool requirements defined by Programmers for upcoming jobs.
- Interface with the Operations Manager to continue to maximize the potential of all machine operators through feedback and recognizing and providing opportunities for improvement.
- Identify new equipment, tooling, etc., that will improve processes, maximize productivity, and achieve company goals.
- Assist and support the Machining Supervisors in all matters, as required.
- Order cutting tools.
- Maintain good safety and procedures.
- Conform to all requirements of Seyer Industries Quality System and any and all customer invoked quality requirements (AS-9100, for example).
- Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with 6S standards.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
