What are the responsibilities and job description for the Evening Custodian position at SEYMOUR COMMUNITY SCHOOLS?
Position Description: An employee in the Custodian role shall possess a High School diploma or the equivalent. A Custodian will perform a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks throughout the district, and will assist with event set-up.
A Custodian must be able to initiate and complete work tasks with minimal supervision, read and follow basic operating instructions, and operate cleaning equipment. They must be able to work in a professional manner with adults and children, be able to lift/carry seventy-five pounds, and be able to satisfactorily pass a pre-employment physical.
Hours/Benefits: This is a full-time position with health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance and inclusion in the Wisconsin Retirement System. Hourly rate is based on experience.
Performance Responsibilities:
-Perform cleaning tasks as assigned in all areas of the building, using the appropriate products and tools.
-Maintain organized maintenance spaces.
-Maintain cleaning equipment to ensure safe operation.
-Perform various maintenance duties.
-Report any excessive cleaning needs to Lead Maintenance Custodian
-Remain free of any alcohol or illegal substance in the workplace in compliance with Board policies throughout his/her employment in the District.
-Perform any other duties as assigned by an Administrator.
