Payroll and Payroll Auditing Experience required
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources Administrator to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in supporting various HR functions, ensuring compliance with policies, and enhancing employee engagement. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a passion for fostering a positive workplace culture.
Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll for all employees, including calculating wages, deductions, and overtime
Ensure payroll is processed in compliance with federal, state, and local laws, as well as with government contracting regulations
Review and verify accuracy of timekeeping records
Handle all payroll-related tasks including garnishments, special payroll deductions, and benefit deductions
Coordinate with HR for any changes in payroll related to new hires, terminations, and changes in employee status
Maintain and update payroll records in compliance with government contract regulations
Prepare and maintain accurate payroll reports and records
Assist with annual payroll audits and ensure all documentation is in place for government audits
Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and management Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and government contracting regulations
Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field preferred
Must have the minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Payroll Specialist, preferably in a government contracting environment
Strong understanding of payroll processes, laws, and regulations, including government contracting requirements
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
