The Mission of the San Francisco Department of Public Health (DPH) is to protect and promote the health of all San Franciscans. DPH strives to achieve its mission through the work of multiple divisions - the San Francisco Health Network (SFHN), Population Health Division (PHD), Behavioral Health Services (BHS), and Administration. The San Francisco Health Network is the City's only complete system of care and has locations throughout the City, including Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center, Laguna Honda Hospital and Rehabilitation Center, and over 15 primary care health centers.
Under general administrative direction, The SFHN Chief Quality Officer has oversight and responsibility for all Quality Management related activities throughout the SFHN. The SFHN includes Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital & Trauma Center, Laguna Honda Hospital & Rehabilitation Center and Ambulatory Care that includes Primary Care, Whole Person Integrated Care, Jail Health Services, Maternal Child and Adolescent and HIV Health Services. The SFHN CQO works with clinical and non-clinical staff and administrators to improve overall patient / resident safety and SFHN systems-level outcomes. They also support, promote, and encourage a culture of safety throughout the SFHN.

How to qualify
Required Minimum Qualifications (all applicants must verify that they meet both elements below) :
Education substitution : Additional experience may be substituted for the required degree on a year-for-year basis (up to a maximum of two (2) years. One (1) year is equivalent to thirty (30) semester or forty-five (45) quarter units.
Experience substitution : Possession of a Master's degree from an accredited university or college in Public Health, Business Administration or a closely related field may substitute for up to one (1) year of the required experience.
Note
One-year full-time employment is equivalent to 2,000 hours (2,000 hours of qualifying work experience is based on a 40-hour work week).
