As a key member of our team at SF Staffing Solutions, the Laboratory Support Leader will oversee laboratory operations, ensuring seamless workflow and maximizing productivity. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical technology principles and be able to supervise and train staff effectively.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Supervising and mentoring medical technologists, technicians, and laboratory assistants to ensure they meet testing schedules and standards.
2. Collaborating with supervisors to resolve production problems and enhance workflows.
3. Training employees on laboratory techniques, procedures, and company policies.
4. Investigating and resolving analytical testing problems and recommending corrective actions.
5. Ensuring compliance with departmental policies, federal, state, and local regulations.
6. Reviewing QA and QC records and providing input for performance appraisals and disciplinary actions.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Biology, or Chemistry or an Associate's degree in a Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology.
• Minimum five years' clinical experience with two years in the current department.
• Ability to establish work priorities, handle multiple procedures simultaneously, and troubleshoot instruments and other issues.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact with other departments and clients.
