Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Specialist to join our team at the San Francisco Department of Public Health. As a key member of our intensive care management team, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and providing psychiatric treatment to patients in an intensive care setting.
Your primary focus will be on working closely with families and collaborating with community behavioral health providers and hospital-based psychiatric teams to ensure comprehensive care.
You will also participate in clinic quality improvement activities, serve as a liaison between various stakeholders, and may supervise a section or unit within a larger medical facility or program.
To be successful in this role, you must possess a valid license to practice medicine issued by the Medical Board of California or the Osteopathic Medical Board of California. You should also have completed a residency program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education or American Osteopathic Association in a Psychiatric medical specialty area.
In addition to your clinical expertise, you must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid license to practice medicine issued by the Medical Board of California or the Osteopathic Medical Board of California
- Successful completion of a residency program in a Psychiatric medical specialty area
- Ability to work effectively in an intensive care setting
