What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Underwriter Trainee position at SFBCIC?
Essential Functions
• Physically inspect, analyze and evaluate property for value, condition and exposure purposes.
• Underwrite, renew, rate various lines of business (varies by state).
• Participate in various daily inspections, roof inspections, special projects inspection programs.
• Frequently accompany Agents on insured appointments to assist in evaluating and identifying exposures.
• Assume duties as Roving Field Underwriter to assist with daily and overflow inspection workload.
• Learn duties and responsibilities of Field Underwriter through on-the-job training in office and in the field.
• Depict findings in photography and complete reports of discovery from inspections.
• Become well acquainted with underwriting manual.
Additional Responsibilities
• Attend various meetings, conferences and training seminars when and where requested.
• Regular travel including overnight as required.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Regular and predictable attendance is required.
