Role and Responsibilities: The Lead Operations Engineer oversees and architects the production operations environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Architect and maintain automated job scheduler.
- Review all changes to jobs under job scheduler control, work with application programming staff in putting these changes into production.
- Review all new jobs to be added to job scheduler control, work with application programming staff in putting these new jobs into production.
- Work with lead operators on job flow (new and changed jobs).
- Oversee and direct computer operations.
- Place service calls
- Monitor production server environment
- Oversee and maintain monitoring applications such as SolarWinds, Pingdom, and What’s Up
- Work with application programming staff to correct errors.
- Architect and maintain production print monitoring solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field; or a combination of education and experience
- Ten years of information technology-related work experience
- Information Technology experience is any experience gained while in an information technology role or job. This experience may include:
- Web, mobile, or backend development
- Network, server, or PC administration
- Database Administration
- Automated, manual, or behavioral testing
- Systems or application analysis
- Technical support
- Cyber defense or security operations
- System Monitoring and Operations
- Advanced knowledge of personal computer-related software and hardware
- Advanced knowledge of local area networks and network protocols, endpoint security software, security concepts, and databases
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Ability to function effectively in the workplace as exhibited through one's integrity, courage to act and communication skills
- Ability to work with others effectively as exhibited through one's respect for people and commitment to teamwork
