Dredge Shore Watch

Serve as Safety Shore Watch for dredging operation. Servicing equipment and assisting in Dredging operations. Clean and wash tools, equipment and dredge. Extensive overnight travel around the Southeastern United States will be required for this role. The wage for this position is $14 per hour.

Responsibilities

Observe and serve as Safety Shore Watch for the Amphibex dredge. Under direction, assists with routine and non-routine servicing of equipment. Reviews and updates operational records of machinery. Record keeping including time sheets.

· Housekeeping

· Washing equipment with pressure washer

· Complete equipment daily checks.

· Work safely and wear all required P.P.E at all times (hard hat, safety glasses, steel toed boots, life jacket, hi-vis vest, ear plugs and gloves).

· Assist the operator in the fueling and greasing of the Amphibex.

· Avoid all spills when fueling or servicing equipment.

· Assist with end of the month safety inspections for the Amphibex and connex.

· Assist the operator with the setting up of the Amphibex during moving.

· Operate an 8” diesel pump for pushing material long distances

· Cleans and maintains equipment and tools.

· Inspects vehicle for safety equipment.

Requirements

· Safety and Safety training

· Must qualify to wear a SCBA or respirator

· Computer literate – proficient in Excel to complete timesheets

· Knowledge of the use of tools and equipment in servicing equipment.

· Ability to carry out written and oral instructions.

· Ability to keep routine records

· Ability to perform manual labor

· Ability to operate light motor vehicle

· Ability to operate a rough terrain forklift

· Operate a flat bottom john boat in a pond with heavy solids

· Possess a valid driver’s license

· Be able to travel, 10 up to 20 days per hitch
