We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Product Development Assistant to join our team and contribute to our continued success in creating exceptional textile products.
Position Overview:
As a Product Development Assistant specializing in textiles for the fine linen industry, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the product development process. Working closely with the Product Development Manager and cross-functional teams, you will assist in the creation and enhancement of our textile products, ensuring they meet our high-quality standards and exceed customer expectations. Your expertise in textiles, creativity, and organizational skills will be essential in this dynamic role.
Responsibilities:
- Daily communication with overseas vendors to keep a timely design/development process
- Organization of sample library/design room
- Develop and maintain packaging inserts for new and existing products.
- Develop and maintain woven labels for new and existing products.
- Oversee the creation of UPC labels in our workrooms.
- Prepare sales and customer service samples each season.
- Assist during inspections of new market introductions.
- Assist with QC returns.
- Assist with product set up during market.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in product development, home industry a plus
- Knowledge of fabrics and home textiles a plus
- Possess strong computer skills- Outlook, Word and Excel
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills
- Excellent follow-up skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Work both independently and as an influential member of the SFERRA team
- Assist with photo shoot prep
- Assist in preparing marketing materials such as hang samples, throw and blanket updates, and bath updates.
- Process sample packages to appropriate overseas vendors/workrooms
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
