What are the responsibilities and job description for the Utility position at SFO?
Responsibilities
- Wash pots, pans and trays based on assigned procedures to ensure complete cleanliness and sanitation
- Maintain dishes, pots, pans, trays, utensils, kitchen, work areas and equipment in orderly and sanitary condition
- Stock supplies such as food and utensils in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators and storage area
- Sweep, mop and scrub floors
- Wash floor mats and garbage cans on a regular basis
- Sort and remove/throw trash in the designated area
- Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas manually using utility cart
- Assist co-workers in receiving deliveries and storing supplies in proper places
- Dump used oil properly following the standard procedure provided by the SFO Airport
Hours: 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Sunday

Qualifications
- Willingness to comply with all food safety procedures
- Must be able to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers
- Ability to stand or walk for 8-hour shifts and lift/move at least 50lbs
- Open availability including nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents
- Must pass a 10-year background check
