Job Description: Positive and motivated individual who will be responsible for providing onsite leadership, ensuring successful daily field operation execution, and safety. Other duties may include assisting with project estimating and sales. The person in this role will focus on growing, developing, and leading a trade division and safety program. This individual will be a highly motivated, organized, good decision maker, and self-starter who works well unsupervised, has outstanding customer service skills, and strong computer literacy and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will work closely with the COO to implement processes, systems, budgets, and safety procedures that will deliver company growth.
· Manage and coordinate multiple projects to ensure they are completed on time and on budget
· Organize and plan project tasks, schedules, and manpower
· Manage tasks in accordance with Project Management Institute (PMI) standards and those of the company
· Communicate project status to stakeholders and key project participants
· Stay aware of company goals and strategies to ensure projects align with business priorities
· Facilitate and encourage collaboration across departments to ensure projects are completed successfully
· Delegate work to team members based on skills and expertise
· Optimize project deliverables, schedule, and budgeting
· Work with proposal teams to develop cost estimates and project plans
· Create presentations and reports to communicate project status
· Keep the project team focused on the end goal
The Senior Project Manager will be required to work in the field with the Field Superintendent, Electricians & Millwrights who are deployed to multiple customer sites both Domestic and International. This position will lead and manage the field teams and operations including logistics. The Senior Project Manager will collaborate with Human Resources on all selection, hiring, performance management, training and retention of Project Managers & Project Coordinators, subcontractors or field team members. All work is to be completed on time, within budget, to specification, codes and industry standards. This person should serve as a champion for SGES to the subcontractors as well as our business partners.
Requirements:
- Must have at least 10 years’ experience in the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems in the areas of power generation and oil/gas industry.
- Electrical foreman experience a plus
- Must have a high quality level of work
- Must consistently be on time, work well with others and maintain a safe and organized work environment
- Interview new subcontractors and field personnel and assist in the successful integration into the team
- Strong leadership, teamwork and communication skills
- Experience terminating industrial panels
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Proficiency with a laptop and tablet
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of industrial processes: project opportunity, bidding, design/engineering, post bid interview, project award, documentation, manpower and equipment assessment, project cost tracking, change orders, invoicing and project close out documentation.
- Possession of comprehensive electrical industry knowledge, permitting processes
- Knowledgeable in estimating techniques, cost control, and scheduling
- Ability to read engineering drawings, purchase orders, and contracts

· Ensure that your team completes all Site Safety Requirements and safety precautions are practiced daily and upheld throughout the entire project
· Customer service liaison. Maintain and measure customer service throughout the project including email, phone calls and meetings
· Identify strategies to create bid advantages.
· Support estimating by assisting with bid document package compilation. Assemble professional proposal package, review contents in conjunction with RFP and estimating, obtain necessary bid or performance bonding (if necessary)
· Review project work load and progress. Manage field staff, equipment and supply deployment to meet project needs. Maintain and update project schedule
· Secure municipality project permits as necessary. Permit application compilation, submission with necessary documentation, pick up permit and ensure delivery to job site
· Proficient with Microsoft Excel (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, PowerPoint)
· Requests material and equipment quotes from vendors and equipment suppliers
