Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients while assisting nursing staff with daily tasks.
Duties
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
- Help with mobility by assisting patients in moving from bed to wheelchair or other locations.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following infection control protocols.
- Document patient care activities accurately in medical records.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding patient conditions and any changes observed.
- Support patients with disabilities by providing tailored assistance based on individual needs.
Skills
- Proficient in medical terminology to effectively communicate with healthcare professionals.
- Experience in long-term care or senior care settings is highly desirable.
- Strong caregiving skills with the ability to provide compassionate support to patients.
- Knowledge of emergency medicine procedures for quick response in critical situations.
- Familiarity with Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) protocols is a plus.
- Ability to handle medical documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Experience working with people with disabilities, ensuring their specific needs are met.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
