SGC Surveying is currently seeking a Project Coordinator!! The Survey Project Coordinator will assist Project Managers with complex projects and tasks including project scheduling, research, designs, and additional administrative functions.
**Compensation for this role is based on experience. This role is required to sit local to our office.**
Duties and Responsibilities of the Project Coordinator:
- Conduct surveys to establish legal boundaries for properties, based on legal deeds and titles; routes; construction layouts; as-built/as-surveyed locations
- Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys to describe, certify, and assume liability for work performed. Prepare all data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents related to surveys. Prepare the results of surveys including the shape, contour, location, elevation, clearances, and dimensions of features.
- Search legal records, survey records, and land titles to obtain information about property boundaries in areas to be surveyed.
- Verify the accuracy of survey data including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
- Undertake specific and routine administration as required in line with current processes and procedures.
- Assist in the creation and monitoring of project schedules, risks and issues plus associated project documentation and supports compliance with all legal, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
- Search legal records, survey records, and land titles to obtain information about property boundaries in areas to be surveyed.
- Plan and conduct ground surveys designed to establish baselines, elevations, and other geodetic measurements
- In conjunction with the Project Manager, provides regular project phase and contract reviews, project reporting.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications of the Project Coordinator:
- 2 years of experience within the land surveying industry
- Broad knowledge or relevant work experience as a field and/or Office CAD Technician
- An understanding of project management tools and processes while adhering to legal and commercial requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Adaptable and well organized with a practical minded approach and the ability to work to tight deadlines
- Ability to read and understand construction and architectural plans and use plans to prepare data for layout by field survey crews.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
