Job Opportunity: Night Warehouse Clerk
Hourly Rate: $16.50
Schedule: Monday - Thursday, starting at 7:00 PM; Friday, starting at 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform all duties professionally and efficiently.
- Assign and monitor order selector routes.
- Prepare and process routes for selectors, ensuring critical customers are highlighted and truck assignments are clearly noted.
- Key in add-on orders for specific approved customers.
- Enter daily data on spreadsheets (production info, errors, averages).
- Perform basic wearable maintenance, such as changing batteries and resetting wearable gun units.
- Manage the sign-out process for forklift drivers, scan guns, and other night warehouse equipment.
- Accurately invoice orders, including catch weights, substitutions, and out-of-stock items.
- Handle returns from transportation, including issuing credit memos.
- Prepare driver packets containing invoices, add-ons, and delivery flyers.
- Update route paperwork in the system and invoice routes for billing.
- Check product availability and suggest substitutions as needed.
- Run end-of-day reports and place them in designated locations.
- Organize routes with proper paperwork for driver pickup.
- Communicate with drivers about route changes, new customers, or other updates affecting deliveries.
- Assist with various tasks for the transportation department.
- Stay on shift until relieved, which may require working beyond scheduled hours.
- Assist management with time management system entry for night warehouse staff.
- Handle incoming warehouse phone calls and route them accordingly.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
- Availability for holiday, weekend, and overtime work.
- Consistently maintain excellent attendance and adherence to the work schedule.
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices, company policies, and safety procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational and customer service skills.
- Ability to quickly learn and apply new technical concepts.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Foodservice experience is a plus but not required—we will train the right candidate.
