Description :

Experience : Prefer someone with with a Minimum of 1 - 3 years - but will look at someone with less experience with a technical degree / certification

This person will configure, test, and ship sophisticated telecommunication equipment. Need to have experience setting up and configuring Windows computers, servers and networking devices .

Must be able to sit and / or stand for 8 hours [or more if working overtime].

Moderate Windows / Google Computer skills and ability to read / enter data as required.

Ability to read build and configuration documentation.

Quality / Safety conscious with ability to stay focused and pay attention to detail.

Good attendance record and must be able to work 40 hours plus (including weekend work) Overtime each week for length of assignment.

Ability to work in a fast paced team environment.

Quick learner with ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs consistently.

Must be willing to rotate between various positions in the organization based on business needs.

Must wear steel toed shoes.

Assignment Duration : Long-term : 6-12 months possible extension based on the performance and business needs.

What are the main responsibilities that your new hire will have?

  • Staging and Configuring Servers / Switches / Firewalls
  • Programming and Debugging Scripts to enable Staging Operations is a huge plus if an FT position becomes available.
  • Communicating and working cohesively with the Development Organization
  • Debugging Issues related to Sales Order and helping rectify them

What are the top three contributions this new hire will make to the company within their first 90 or 120 days?

  • Train to stage Servers / Workstations and Switches
  • Develop working relationships with the team and Development Organization
  • Communication to the Team Lead and Management on day to day progress
  • What qualifications are must-haves for candidates?

  • Technically proficient in basic computer skill
  • Experience with Networking Equipment - Cisco and Client is a plus.
  • What software should your new hire be proficient in?

  • Scripting knowledge
  • Basic debugging of automation scripts is a plus.
  • Type of work environment - Working in Factory / warehouse environment

    Will there be any lifting? If so, how many pounds? - At certain occasions may have to lift around 15 to 20 pounds

    Any safety equipment needed - None

    Safety-Sensitive Functions : yes, If yes, then the full drug panel drug test is requested.

    Team Structure : What's the structure of your current team, and who will your new hire report to? - New Hire will report to me. Technically will report to the Team Lead for day to day operations

    Hiring Process & Logistics :

    Do you have any time off planned during the hiring process? If so, do you have anyone designated to conduct interviews on your behalf?

    HM along with Team Lead will be conducting interviews. Interviews will be held March 10 onwards.

    1 Onsite interview for an hour - 40 min with the Team Lead and 20 mins with the Hiring manager. Attn : COS see annotations.
