Schedule: Full Time, 7on/7off, 6p-3:30a Tues-Fri, 6p-6a Sat/Sun, 6p-3:30a Mon
Position Summary
Assists the technologist in a variety of radiological procedures. Assists the technologist by transporting patients as needed and performing clerical duties. Assists the Floor Supervisor, Chief Technologist or designee by completing exams on the Radiology Information System (RIS). Assists with verifying exams in PACS to get the images ready for dictation. Assists with obtaining patient information for filling out worksheets, ordering lab work or other clerical duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Duties require considerable sitting, standing, stooping bending, lifting (in excess of 50 pounds), pushing objects (wheelchairs, stretchers). Comfortable conditions, subject to irregular schedules, including weekends, exposed to high levels of stress. Work may require exposure to communicable diseases.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of personnel at all levels within and external to organization.
- Ability to communicate clearly with and care for a diverse population of patients/family units of all ages, variety of cultures, etc.
- Flexible in work schedule, assignments and work load.
- Ability to document various types of patient information.
- Ability to interpret the policies and procedures of South Georgia Medical Center
- Minimal clerical skills are desirable.
- Ability to read and operate office equipment.
