Department: CARDIAC REHAB
Schedule: Full Time, 8 HR Day Shift, 8
Position Summary
Works as a member of the Cardiac Rehab team to provide cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation services to patients. Assess, plan and/or implement fitness programs that include exercise or physical activities such as those designed to improve cardiorespiratory function, body composition, muscular strength, muscular endurance, or flexibility.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Physical Demands: Must able to lift up to 75 pounds, bend, pull, push, and walk without restrictions. Duties require considerable sitting, standing, stooping, bending, lifting (in excess of fifty pounds on occasion), and pushing objects (carts, beds, and wheelchairs). Working environment: Air-conditioned building with carpeted and tiled floors. Work may require exposure to communicable diseases.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Exercise Physiology.
- Current CPR (C) required.
- Dysrhythmia competency required.
- American College of Sports Medicine Certified Exercise Physiologist, ACSM CEP, certification preferred.
- ACLS within 6 months of employment.
- One (1) year experience in related specialty area preferred.
- Ability to work well individually and as a team leader or member.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to new situations, manage priorities and utilize problem-solving techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret policies, standards, and think critically evaluating patient care issues
- Ability to communicate clearly with, and care for diverse population of patients/family units of all ages, a variety of cultures, and/or persons occasionally exhibiting stressed behaviors.
