Schedule: PRN, Varied Hours/Shift,
Position Summary
Enforces hospital rules and regulations. Conducts floor/mobile patrols of the Emergency Department for the protection of people and hospital assets. Assists patients, visitors and staff to advance the goals and objectives of South Georgia Medical Center. Meet all annual requirements for POST Certification and Georgia Secretary of State requirements. Responds quickly to all silent alarms as needed. Responds as requested to the Cuddles Infant Security system when requested. Monitors cameras as appropriate. Conducts patient valuable inventory, pick-up and returns to patients. Receives deceased bodies as requested in the morgue and ensures appropriate documentation. Rounds frequently on 1013 patients.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Extensive walking. Physical interaction with disruptive persons. Dealing with people in stressful situations. Occasional hours on evening shifts and weekends.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- High School Diploma preferred. Previous Hospital Security experience preferred.
- Supervisory skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
- POST Certified and registered with Georgia Secretary of State
- Make good decisions and provide leadership by examples.
