Department: AR - HOSPICE TREE HOUSE
Schedule: Part Time, , 9-5
Position Summary
Under the direction of the Store Manager, be able to drive a large box truck and a van and operate a lift for donation pick-ups and customer deliveries; be able to work with others to load clothing racks and bins, furniture, electronics, bags, toys, etc. onto and off of a box truck / van in a timely fashion in order to maintain an efficient pick-up schedule; work with others to schedule pick-up and delivery routes to maintain an efficient pick-up schedule; maintain flexibility and develop problem solving in order to accommodate necessary changes as dictated by last minute exceptions or issues that may arise. When not on pick-ups, drivers will assist in donations and in the store by: accepting donations from customers; learning what qualifies as a "saleable" donation and sorting all donations as they come in; separating and placing all saleable items in proper areas based on department; learning pricing system and pricing donations for sale, as needed; placing priced items into proper department area within the store; restocking, arranging and organizing merchandise as directed; boxing up items not used for immediate sale and moving them to the appropriate holding area, pulling items from storage as retail space becomes available; shifting to other areas of the store and the warehouse as needed to help ensure maximum efficiency and overall performance of The Tree House campus.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Regularly required walking, reaching, stretching; standing for long periods of time; climb or balance; stoop kneel, or crouch; talk or hear, and smell. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities required for this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision, and ability to adjust focus. Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and a moderate noise level.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and a good driving history in accordance with the Medical Center's insurance carrier's standards.
- Must comply with all DOT requirements upon hire and throughout employment.
- Able to work on your feet for 8 hours a day six days a week.
- Able to lift 50 pounds and higher.
- Work indoors and outdoors. It requires climbing stairs, sitting, standing, bending, and reaching – continuously.
- Requires a sustained level of high energy, stamina, and the ability to pick-up items, and the ability to move about the store/warehouse, customer homes and businesses on a regular and ongoing basis – continuously.
- Preferred previous experience in driving, warehouse and retail sales operations.
- Must possess strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and handle pressure.
- Requires basic knowledge of computer and office machinery.
