Job Summary
As the Director of Asset Management and Purchasing, you will be responsible for strategic planning and day to day direction of the company’s global assets/inventory and the sourcing and purchasing of all raw materials from vendors and suppliers. You will be responsible for establishing inventory level targets and collaborating with Sales, Project Management, and Operations to meet deliverable.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff.
- Oversees the daily workflow and schedules of the department.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company
policy.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Management of all company asset inventory from manufacture or purchase through commercial activity and eventual disposition.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that dictate the utilization, maintenance and protection of company assets.
- Liaising with Location management and corporate finance to forecast and plan for future investment and disposition.
- Work closely with Project Management Team to coordinate outgoing and incoming projects, ensuring timely delivery and client satisfaction.
- Managing relationships with vendors and both internal and external service providers to ensure assets are managed efficiently and effectively
- Oversight of technological tools and systems used for asset management, ensuring they are up to date and effectively meet the organization’s needs.
- Identify procurement strategies to meet company financial goals.
- Oversight of purchasing operations to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Negotiate and Approve vendor and supplier contracts related to asset management.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to direct reports, driving a culture of mutual respect and continuous improvement.
- All other duties as assigned by the COO as it relates to Asset Management and
Purchasing.
Qualifications
- Proven negotiation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Minimum three (3) years of director level experience.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in a leadership role with direct reports.
- Minimum seven (7) years of experience managing operational or project budgets.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business or related field.
- The ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage change in a rapidly evolving environment.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with a track record of driving continuous improvement.
- Demonstrate qualification in inventory control or inventory management systems or equivalent.
- Experience with creating and implementing a world class inventory control system.
- Understand financial business acumen with relation to inventory data.
- Intermediate to Expert level Microsoft Office Suite or related software, as well as
inventory software.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to travel to various SGPS Showrig site locations as needed.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
