The Organization

The Lake Region Lakes Management District (LRLMD) is an independent special taxing district established in 1919 to protect water quality, provide safe and convenient navigation, construct launching basins, control lake pests, construct and maintain navigation and drainage canals, aid in flood control and lake level management, and all other things necessary and proper for the general convenience and safety of those using the lakes and canals. The District Manager reports to the LRLMD Board and serves as the administrative head of the District, providing direction and general management for the administration and oversight of the agency’s affairs and operations. The position is expected to exercise considerable independent professional expertise and judgment in solving problems through the application of LRLMD financial & administrative policies and practices.
