Manufacturing Engineer

Summary:

This position will be doing some design work and Project Engineer work. So, it is preferred if the candidate knows CREO software.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for engineering and project administration activities related to specific circuit breaker product families.
• Perform engineering analyses, including thermal, electromagnetic, dynamic, and structural, using experience applying basic engineering principles.
• Ensure compliance with specific ratings, product specifications, and standards requirements.
• Participate in cross-functional teams with Manufacturing, Quality, Marketing, and procurement functions.
• Perform methodical problem solving to assist in product line production
• Support design activities, such as brainstorming, database management and development, design/peer reviews, and general analysis, including tolerance analysis, using experience with basic machine design.
• Ensure products meet requirements for Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
• Assist in root cause analysis by way of the 5 Why and Ishikawa processes
• Generate innovative design proposals to suffice application and engineering requirements, including but not limited t3D assemblies and new components design such as: molded plastic parts, springs, mechanisms, sheet metal parts, and insulators.
• Desired: CREO knowledge.
• Create technical specifications, 2D drawings, bill of materials and additional required documentation to achieve robust project documentation and reliable manufacturing.
