Job Title: OCI Architect
Location: Jacksonville, FL
Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced OCI Architect to join our internal team on an as-needed basis. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), R12 upgrade, cloud migration, and DBA activities. The role requires a deep understanding of cloud architecture, database administration, and end-to-end migration processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) solutions for enterprise applications.
- Lead and manage R12 upgrade and migration projects from on-premise to OCI.
- Provide end-to-end database administration (DBA) support, including installation, configuration, backup, and performance tuning.
- Develop migration strategies and roadmaps for seamless cloud adoption.
- Optimize OCI services for cost-effectiveness, security, and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve OCI and database-related issues.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align OCI solutions with business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, security policies, and best practices.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5 years of experience in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) architecture.
- Strong expertise in Oracle EBS R12 upgrade and migration.
- Hands-on experience in end-to-end DBA activities including backup, recovery, patching, and performance tuning.
- Knowledge of OCI networking, security, storage, and compute services.
- Experience in cloud migration strategies and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex technical challenges.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- OCI certifications (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect Professional/Associate).
- Experience in automation and scripting (Terraform, Ansible, Shell, etc.).
- Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD tools.
