Sr. Business Analyst - Manufacturing Industry & MES IIOT Technologies
This is a hybrid role. Initial engagement will require 2-3 days a week onsite, with the flexibility to be fully remote after 3-6 months.

Job description:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Analyst with a proven track record in the manufacturing industry and expertise in MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) and IIOT technologies.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a business analyst role, with a strong background in utilizing Atlassian tools (particularly Confluence) and Power BI to analyze data and
drive business process improvements. In this role, you will collaborate closely with executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze data, and deliver actionable insights that support strategic business decisions. Your ability to communicate effectively, present complex data to senior leadership, and drive change will
be key to your success in this role. You will thrive working with plant engineers and technical teams who are responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and upgrades of our custom built IIOT device applications. Our client will be sunsetting old devices and making decisions on new devices / applications and your ability to gather
requirements, analyze data, and compare results will be part of the team’s final decision making. Your experience working through implementations, roadmaps, and enhancements will shine as you help

Key Responsibilities & Experience:
Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering:
o Lead business process analysis within the manufacturing environment, focusing on MES
and IIOT systems.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, define, and document detailed
business requirements.
o Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities for improvement using
MES, IIOT technologies, and data analytics.
o Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure
requirements are clearly understood and executed.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
o Utilize tools such as Power BI to create and maintain dashboards, reports, and data
visualizations to support decision-making.
o This team leverages multiple home grown applications and are looking to assess other
data visualization and reporting tools, your experience leveraging multiple tools will play
a role in the requirements phase and decision making along with the team.
o Provide detailed insights into manufacturing performance metrics, identifying trends
and opportunities for operational efficiency improvements.
o Large volumes of data does not scare you, it excites you.
o Ensure data integrity and consistency across systems to enable accurate reporting and
decision-making.
Collaboration with Executive Stakeholders:
o Develop and deliver compelling presentations for senior management, providing datadriven insights and recommendations.
o Dynamic presentation skills is a must, our team will be relying you to push back on
stakeholders if data integrity is questioned, we trust your analysis like we trust your
experience, it is important.
o Support executive stakeholders with key performance indicator (KPI) tracking and
reporting.
o Assessing workloads of current executive stakeholder team. Where do you see overlap
in roles and assess hiring roadmaps.
o Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring
alignment and understanding.
Atlassian Tools Expertise:
o Utilize the Atlassian tool suite, particularly Confluence, to document processes, share
knowledge, and manage projects.
o Work closely with project teams to ensure project timelines, milestones, and
requirements are captured effectively within Jira.
o Leverage Confluence to develop and maintain process documentation, training
materials, and business requirement specifications.
o Conflunce is leveraged as a repository of documentation andinformation. Our team will
be striving to assess better tools and means for organizing documentation and value
input from your experience.
Continuous Improvement:
o Identify areas for improvement in manufacturing operations, providing actionable
recommendations to optimize performance.
o Partner with technical teams to enhance the functionality and integration of MES and
IIOT technologies across the manufacturing landscape.
Qualifications:
Experience:
o Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on the
manufacturing industry.
o Solid understanding and hands-on experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems
(MES) and IIOT technologies.
o Demonstrated expertise in using Atlassian tools (especially Confluence and Jira) for
project management and documentation.
o Strong proficiency in Power BI, or other similar tools, for data analysis and reporting.
o Experience being part of the selection of new tool suites while sunsetting old legacy
system or tools is a huge bonus.
o Experience working with executive-level stakeholders, presenting data insights, and
driving strategic decisions.
o Understanding of complexities that arise when on a team that is fastly growing.
o Working with both the business and technology and helping facilitate strong
communication and analytics to them helps achieve goals faster with cross functional
collaboration.
Skills:
o Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen ability to turn data into
actionable business insights.
o Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present
complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
o Exceptional presentation skills, comfortable leading discussions and presenting to senior
leadership teams.
o Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.
Education:
o A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Systems, or a
related field is preferred.
o Relevant certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Lean Six
Sigma, or other related certifications are a plus.
Other Pertinent Information:
This position offers the flexibility of being located in either Mayville, Wisconsin or Columbia,
South Carolina.
This is a hybrid position for the initial engagement, opportunity for fully remote after 3-6
months with the acception of traveling to Mayville or Columbia for quarterly presentations or
pertinent board meetings.
