What are the responsibilities and job description for the Busser (Ala Moana) position at Shabuya Shabu Shabu (Ala Moana)?
We're hiring and looking for all Bussers! Bussers are a part of the tip pool and can expect to earn anywhere from $4 to $6 more per hour. That's $18.00 to $20.00 per hour depending on the day and shift you work.
Shabuya, a premium, all-you-can-eat dining shabu shabu experience. Putting our own creative spin on this 20th century, invented style of dining, Shabuya offers 6 distinctive soup bases, a premium seafood bar and a selection of USDA Prime, ANGUS and WAGUYU beef cuts that will surely keep guests coming back for more.

Must be at least 18 years of age, have already graduated highschool or is about to about to graduate highschool. Minors that are about to graduate highschool must provide a work permit.
- Perform pre-busing duties throughout the dining experience.
- Cleans, sanitizes and resets tables as necessary, after the guest dining experience.
- Prepares plate, napkin and chopstick settings, to be used during table resets.
- Work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
- Is responsible for pre-busing duties during and after the dining experience.
- Cleans restaurant work spaces as needed and rotates out buss carts.
- Works well in a team environment with all levels of team members.
- Exhibits professional and effective communication amongst both FOH and BOH staff.
- Ability to interact with a variety of external customers as well as internal customers.
- Immediately reports concerns and possible policy violations to the General Manager or manager on duty.
- Follows all Company policies and procedures.
- Maintain the restaurant, including, but not limited to, dusting, sweeping, cleaning, and food/equipment prep.
- Ensures the use of all personal protective equipment and abides by all safety rules and regulations.
- 100% compliance with all food safety/sanitation rules and regulations.
- Reports to work on-time according to the set shift.
- Communicates any planned absences, at least 4 hours in advance.
- Is directly responsible to take all provided paid rest breaks according to state and local labor code requirements/regulations.
