Here we grow again! Shabuya Shabu Shabu, voted one of the best of the best Shabu experiences in the 808 is coming soon to the WEST SIDE! Now accepting applications for hosts at our upcoming Kapolei location.
As the face of the restaurant, hosts play an extremely important role in starting out and finishing the overall guest experience.
Base rates for hosts run between $14.00 - $16.00 per hour and are a part of the of the tip pool. Hosts can expect to earn anywhere from $2 to $4 more per hour in tips*. Combined, that's an average of $16.00 to $20.00 per hour, combined depending on the day and shift you work!
Qualifications
- Shows up on time as scheduled or proactively communicates when can't work.
- Open work availability (preferred)
- Able to obtain a TB test result (state of Hawaii requirement)
- Food handlers card
- 18 Years old preferred.
Hosts are responsible for:
Greeting guests, ensuring guests are entered into the Yelp waitlist, communicating any special accommodations made by the guest to the manager on duty, answering phones, seating guests, running checks to and from tables and helps with table settings and beverages in times of need.
No direct experience needed. Minimum 18 years of age or about to (or have) graduated high school, is required. However, good communication, a high sense of urgency and positive attitude is a must.
*Hourly tip amounts are an estimate as the restaurant is not actually open yet.
