Childcare worker

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Childcare Provider to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for nurturing and educating children, ensuring their safety and well-being while fostering a positive and engaging environment. This role involves caring for infants and toddlers, promoting their development, and supporting their daily activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive and nurturing care for children, ensuring their safety at all times.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
• Assist with daily routines including feeding, diapering, and nap times.
• Monitor children's behavior and provide guidance to encourage positive social interactions.
• Maintain a clean and organized play area, ensuring all toys and materials are safe for use.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress and any concerns.
• Stay informed about childhood development practices to enhance care strategies.
• Document daily activities, milestones, and any incidents as necessary.

Requirements

• Proven experience in childcare or related fields such as nannying or daycare settings.
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development stages.
• Ability to provide infant care as well as toddler care, demonstrating patience and understanding.
• Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred but not required; willingness to obtain is essential.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and team members.
• Experience in classroom management or structured environments is a plus.
• A genuine love for children and a commitment to fostering their growth in a safe environment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week
