Job Summary
The Production Assembly Lead oversees the assembly team to ensure accuracy and quality. This position will perform inspections of all products before the fixtures are packed and emphasize the importance of safety and a clean work environment. The Production Assembly Lead will also work closely with management to improve processes for efficiency. The Shades of Light Production Department has a proud history of producing quality products for our discerning customers. We are a close-knit team that has an immediate opening available in our Midlothian Production Department for a Production Assembly Lead. Job Requirements/Expectations:
- Direct team members as needed to maintain efficient flow on assembly line
- Work with management to implement solutions and improvements to ensure quality, safety, and operating efficiency
- Direct team in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly work environment
- Expedite finished products
- Perform quality inspections on all products before packed
- Assist in frontline job functions as needed to maintain efficient workflow
- Oversee the assembly department and perform all other duties assigned
Qualifications:
- High School, GED, or equivalent diploma
- 1-2 years of prior experience in production or similar field preferred
- Managerial experience a plus, but not preferred
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50lbs
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail
- Work effectively with team members to complete tasks
