Job summary
Returns Operators are responsible for the prompt, accurate, and efficient processing of customer returns, parts requests, parts ordering, assembly and disassembly of all returned home décor and lighting products.
Job Requirements/Expectations:
- Acknowledge, research, and fill parts requests in a timely manner daily
- Work and process parts orders daily
- Perform quality control checks on returned items to ensure there are defects or damages
- File freight and vendor claims on any damaged or defected items returned to Shades of Light
- Use hand tools to disassemble and reassemble returned fixtures
- Build, tape, and prepare boxes for items going to “good stock” or back into inventory
- Unload FedEx trucks by hand or by using equipment such a hand trucks, dollies, or manual pallet jacks

Perform data entry duties such as:
- Inputting information into logs for Returns or Scratch & Dent
- Complete inspection reports on all returned merchandise
- Performing simple cleaning tasks
- All other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent diploma
- Attention to Detail

- Ability to stand for long periods of time, crouch, bend, and lift up to 50lbs independently.
- Ability to work as a team and independently.
