Position Description Summary: Sets and clears dining room tables before, during, and after meal service. Provides food and beverage service to Club members and guests to assist servers with prompt service. Banquet room, function and event set-ups/ break downs (tables, chairs, podiums, and divider wall adjustments, including setting up catered food, ice, refreshments, cups, plates, plastic ware, napkins, etc.)
Duties and Responsibilities:
Promptly greet guests as they are seated and bring bread, butter and water to table.
Remove used tableware between courses and bus to kitchen
Clear tables after guests finished. Take tableware to dish room and place silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. in appropriate areas for washing.
Promptly clean table tops and chairs between seating. Check floor and clean as required. Reset and arrange tabletop.
Respond appropriately to guest requests. Communicate guest requests to server as needed.
Communicate with server and hostess to assure efficient seating, table utilization, and customer service.
Assist servers as needed with food delivery, especially with large parties and during peak periods.
Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by dining room supervision.
Washes dishes in the absence of the dishwasher and/or as directed by the servers and manager.
Any other duties assigned by Supervisor
Education, Experience, Knowledge:
Prior Country Club Service preferred
Physical Demands: Must be able spend long period of time on their feet, walking, standing, stooping, and lifting, carrying food trays, tables, chairs, and furniture up to 50 pounds.
Must be available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
