Floor Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Floor Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of various flooring types in commercial settings. This role requires a strong understanding of floor care techniques, including buffing , as well as a commitment to providing exceptional environmental services.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of floors, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
• Execute specialized floor care tasks such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to ensure optimal appearance.
• Conduct carpet cleaning using appropriate methods and equipment to maintain cleanliness and hygiene.
• Inspect floors regularly to identify areas needing repair or additional cleaning.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures while using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report shortages as needed.
• Collaborate with custodial staff to ensure overall cleanliness of the facility.

Experience

• Previous experience in commercial cleaning or environmental services is preferred.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is essential.
• Knowledge of custodial practices and safety standards in a cleaning environment is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within designated timeframes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $10.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
