We have an opening for a part-time / weekend Medical Lab Technologist - Andrology / Endocrine to join our Wexford, PA team. The schedule is working every Saturday from 7 am - 11 am. Must be willing to spend one full week in Rockville, MD for paid training.
How You'll Contribute :
We always do whatever it takes, even if it isn’t specifically our “job.” In general, the Med Tech is responsible for :
- Process semen for intrauterine inseminations (IUIs)
- Assure proper sample collection, delivery and identification (chain of custody)
- Perform daily quality control procedures for media and equipment used in the laboratories, including daily calibration and instrument preventive maintenance checks
- Perform lab services and maintain proper documentation and logs in accordance with Federal, State, and local laws and guidelines to ensure laboratory maintains accreditation
- Operates Roche endocrine analyzer and all instruments in the laboratory according to operating guidelines and recognize instrument malfunction when it occurs and takes corrective action.
- Ordering and receiving lab supplies
- Utilize Computer to enter labs and print labs
- Document patient care services using daily logs and patient records
