Commercial Craftsman – Shaffer’s Developers, Inc.
Summary of Position:
Shaffer’s Developers General Construction Inc. is in Sanford, Florida, about twenty-five miles north of Orlando. The Company is seeking a full-time Commercial Craftsman to perform a wide range of tasks varying in complexity from extremely easy to difficult, on small to medium-size construction projects.
Job Responsibilities: Performs a variety of tasks such as general building installations and repairs, electrical repairs, mechanical equipment, assembly of temporary structures, plumbing, painting, preparation of work area, build and service structures and frameworks utilizing wood, metal, and other materials, install cabinets, shelves, hang/finish drywall, operating small tools, loading, and unloading, organizing materials, and cleaning of job site. Perform assigned duties as required by management.
Minimum Qualifications: Must have 6-10 years’ experience in commercial construction to include but not limited to: Start to finish drywall installation, trim work, plumbing, painting, and hanging doors. Must have basic hand tools. Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable to operate a company vehicle.
Salary: $24.00 to $32.00 per hour. Depends on experience and skills.

Work Location: Up to 75% travel on-the-road, in and outside of Florida, up to 6-8 weeks at a time.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the applicant to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of the job, it requires regularly to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl, and use eye to hand coordination. The applicant must be able to regular lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
