Job Summary
Shaggy to Chic Pet Grooming Salon & Boutique is seeking a Professional Pet Bather to join our team. Applicants must have a minimum of six months of professional pet bathing experience—no exceptions. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and passionate about pet care.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Gently bathing pets of various breeds and sizes using appropriate shampoos and conditioners based on their specific needs.
- Brushing, de-shedding, and de-matting coats as needed
- Nail trimming and ear cleaning
- Proper handling and restraint of pets for bathing and drying
- Monitor the behavior of pets during bathing sessions to ensure their well-being
- Assessing skin and coat conditions and reporting concerns to groomers
- Cleaning and maintaining bathing areas and equipment
- Providing a calm and safe environment for pets
Requirements:
- Minimum six months of professional pet bathing experience
- Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments safely
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Excellent time management and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Physical ability to lift and bathe pets weighing up to 50 lbs
- Team-oriented attitude and strong communication skills
Compensation: DOE, starting at $15 per hour with potential for higher pay based on experience
