What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Mechanic position at Shakeproof?
We are currently hiring an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in Machesney Park, IL. You will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing Industrial Production Equipment and Machinery. 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift postions are currently available.
Job Responsibilities:
- Inspect machinery to diagnose malfunctions in equipment, repair replace defective equipment as necessary.
- Test and repair malfunctioning production equipment/machinery and notify appropriate personnel
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment including machinery, cranes, forklift, etc
- Assemble and install equipment using hand and power tools, welder, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, etc.
- Knowledge for use of, milling machines, brake presses, drill press, and general machine shop equipment.
- Other duties may include: janitorial, plumbing, pipefitting, painting, carpentry.
- Perform other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma is required.
- Associates degree from a Technical College is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of electrical wiring and various components
- 3-5 years of maintenance experience is preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude required
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings and blueprints.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Salary : $30 - $35
