ELD Summer Learning Adventure Teacher - Middle School

Program Introduction:
Our Middle Level Summer Learning Adventure Program is designed for our rising 6th - 8th grade students to provide an extra boost for success moving into the upcoming school year. Each week of the 5-week program will be an active and engaging experience centered around one Shakopee Academy. Speakers, challenges, and contests will all be part of this academy-themed experience! In addition, students will receive math, literacy, and social emotional learning support to become a more confident and organized learner!

Position Description:
Summer Targeted Services Multilingual Learner Teacher.
Position: Teaching ML Newcomer Students (Levels 1-2) in EL Newcomer classroom at West Middle School.
Program Dates: Monday – Thursday July 7th - August 7th
Student Hours: 8:30 AM - 2:00 PM

Qualifications:
Valid MN teaching license for ESL.
Knowledge and willingness to co-teach with reading and language arts teacher preferred.
Experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated instruction.
Strong classroom management skills.
Ability to build successful relationships with students, parents and staff.
