Job Description:
Summary: The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) Information Technology Division seeks a Project Manager to oversee and deliver complex IT projects involving multiple teams and work streams within aggressive timelines.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Minimum 8 years of project management experience, including large projects.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience in IT infrastructure delivery, networking, vendor management, and site provisioning.
- PMP certification from PMI or qualified under Commonwealth of Virginia standards.
Preferred:
- Experience in Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
- Agile Scrum Master certification.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint, Project Server).
Special Instructions to Applicants: This position requires a fingerprint-based background check. PMP certification from PMI is mandatory.
Required/Desired Skills:
- Current PMP certification from PMI - Required, 5 years of experience.
- Minimum 10 years of project management experience - Required.
- Solid understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies - Required, 10 years of experience.
- Business/technical background with credible leadership to technology teams - Nice to have, 10 years of experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - Required, 10 years of experience.
