Job Description: The Business Office Support / Transportation Secretary will play a critical role in the daily operations of the school district by ensuring accuracy in transportation coordination, data management, financial documentation, and supporting payroll and purchasing activities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide clerical and administrative support within the Business Office, focusing on student transportation logistics.
- Manage student transportation for public, non-public, and special needs students, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain and update student databases and transportation records, utilizing strong computer skills.
- Coordinate with principals, the athletic director, and transportation providers to create and adjust bus routes and schedules.
- Verify and process transportation invoices, supporting budget preparation and financial reporting.
- Support purchasing processes, including bid coordination, vendor data entry, and purchase order generation.
- Assist with payroll, fringe benefits, and the processing of handwritten checks.
- Collaborate with the Accounts Payable Specialist and provide cross-functional support as needed.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience in customer service or clerical support role.
- Strong computer skills, including word processing and database management.
