About the Role: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Business Office team as a Business Office Support / Transportation Secretary. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the smooth operation of our school district's transportation system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage student transportation for public, non-public, and special needs students, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain and update student databases and transportation records, utilizing strong computer skills.
- Coordinate with principals, the athletic director, and transportation providers to create and adjust bus routes and schedules.
- Verify and process transportation invoices, supporting budget preparation and financial reporting.
- Support purchasing processes, including bid coordination, vendor data entry, and purchase order generation.
- Assist with payroll, fringe benefits, and the processing of handwritten checks.
- Collaborate with the Accounts Payable Specialist and provide cross-functional support as needed.
Requirements:
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience in customer service or clerical support role.
- Strong computer skills, including word processing and database management.
