We’ll pay you an hourly salary of $17.00 - 18.00

About the Job

We need you to fill the role of a Group Swim Instructor. As a Group Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching swim lessons to children. You will be responsible for implementing the swim curriculum to meet each swimmer's goals including increasing comfort and safety skills around water and stroke/technique refinement. This is a Part Time, Non-Exempt position. You’ll wow us by masterfully performing the following key duties and responsibilities:

• Selecting and assembling equipment, and other instructional aids before class begins.
• Adapting lessons to participant age, physical ability, and interests.
• Ensuring the safety of swim lesson participants
• Teaching lessons with enthusiasm, warmth, and professionalism.
• Providing exceptional customer service in all interactions with participants, parents, and members.
• Effectively communicating progress with participant following each lesson, and with parents regarding their child’s progress.
• Arriving to work on time, as scheduled.
• Performing other duties as assigned or directed.

• American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification is preferred
• To be obtained 30 days post-hire: CPR/AED/First Aid Pediatric and Adults certification, Dell JCC Swim Instructor Certification
• Strong skills in time management, adaptability, attention to detail, and problem solving.
• Ability to effectively address multiple tasks at the same time and ability to interact with people of diverse backgrounds is required.
• Responding to emergencies and determining corrective actions using available resources.
• Pass all required criminal history background checks (which may, depending on the position you are hired for, include an FBI fingerprint check).
